Day’ 5 and 6

i’m now in Mexico it has truly started to become and adventure.

It has now rained for almost 2 days straight, and when it rains here it rains. Straight down and heavy this in an area that sees very little rain normally and as a result there is a great deal of flooding. most of the roads don’t have bridges but are concrete dips which when it rains fill with water and become every thing from small puddles to raging rivers.

most you can cross but there have been some that have resulted in a bus full of locals ending up off of the bridge and in on its side in the river. All of the road have washouts and are covered with fallen rocks and other such debris making for and exciting ride combined with a road that twists and turn and there is never a straight piece of road.

at one point the river crossing was to deep and swift to cross and ended up with some of the locals loading the bike in the back of a large truck and driving it across the raging torrent. with out them is would be still sitting at the side of the road waiting for the water to subside, in a week, I donated 100 p to there cervsa fund for the trip. unfortunately no pictures as it was raining to hard to bring out anything but an under water camera, which i don’t have.

pictures to come later
